  • Automotive Servicing Qualification consist of competencies that a person must achieve to inspect, clean and repair mechanical or electrical parts, components, assemblies and assemblies of light and heavy-duty automotive vehicles with diesel or gas engine in accordance with manufacturers specification
  • Electrical InstallationQualification consist of competencies that a person must achieve to enable him/her to perform installation, maintanance and commisioning of electrical wiring and related equipment where voltage does not exceed 600 volts in residential house/building
  • Commercial CookingQualification consist of competencies that a person must achieve to clean, kitchen areas, cook hot and cold meals, and prepare portion and plate meal/food to guest in hotels, restaurants, clubs, canteens, resorts and luxury liners/cruises

Our TESDA Region 1 website is an attempt to touch base with our numerous and varied stakeholders, customers and beneficiaries. It is our link to them for a better service delivery.

The various information contained herein will, hopefully, give inputs to sound decision making on policy formation, technical education and training investments, skills development planning as well as guides in the management of skills development programs.

We shall be constantly updating the website for we believe that this technical facility should be relevant and responsive.

Our challenge therefore is to have this website useful to everybody who has the yen to learn.

Employers, manggagawa partners ng TESDA sa TVET programs

Makakatulong ng Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) ang mga employers at manggagawa para sa epektibo at maayos na pagpapatupad ng mga technical vocational education and training (TVET) programs at sa paghahatid ng serbisyo.

Ito ay matapos lagdaan ni TESDA Director General, Secretary Isidro S. Lapeña, ang “Implementing Guidelines on the Establishment of Institutional Arrangements with Industry Boards or Industry Associations”.

Layunin nitong kilalanin ang Industry Boards (IBs) o Industry Associations (IAs) bilang kaagapay sa pagpapatupad ng mga TVET programs o serbisyo.

Ang direktang paglahok ng mga employer at manggagawa sa pagpaplano at pagpapatupad ng mga gawain na may kaugnayan sa technical education and skills development (TESD) ang nais palakasin ng programang ito.

“The establishment of institutional arrangements with IBs or IAs shall encourage active participation of various concerned industries in providing relevant technical education and skills development opportunities, being direct participants in and immediate beneficiaries of a trained and skilled workforce,” paliwanag ni Lapeña bilang batayan ng ahensya sa pagbuo ng institutional arrangements sa IBs o IAs.

Ang mga industriya na sakop nito ay yaong kasama sa mga Key Employment Generators (KEGs), gaya ng Construction, Tourism, Agri-business, Wholesale and Retail, Health and Wellness at Automotive/Transport.

Ang mga mapipiling IBs o IAs ay magsisilbi bilang kinatawan ng industriya sa pagplano at pagpapatupad ng mga proyekto, programa at mga aktibidades sa TVET ng TESDA.

Bahagi ng magiging gawain ng IBs/IAs ang pagbibigay ng payo sa TESDA sa pagbubuo at pagpapatupad ng skills development schemes para sa pagsanay ng mga dekalidad na TVET programs, at paghikayat sa paglahok ng mga industriya/employers sa paglikha at implementasyon ng skills standardization at certification.

Ang mga ito ay tutulong sa pagbuo ng mga competency standards, curriculum, sectoral skills plans at assessment tools.

Ang mga IBs/IAs ay lalahok din sa promosyon at implementasyon sa iba’t ibang TVET activities para sa pagkakaroon ng quality skills development kasama dito ang pagdaraos ng mga skills competitions.

Ito ay ipapatupad ng lilikhaing Secretariat na bububuin ng focal staff ng Partnerships and Linkages Office (PLO) at tig-isang kinatawan mula sa iba’t ibang TESDA Executive Offices gaya ng Qualifications Standards Office (QSO), National Institute for Technical Education and Skills Development (NITESD), Planning Office (PO) at Certification Office (CO).

Ang TESDA PLO ay maglalaan ng pondong Php 100,000 para sa bawat mapipiling IB o IA para sa kanilang gastusin sa mga preliminary activities gaya nang pagdaraos ng consultative meetings, conferences, para sa paggawa ng mga promotional materials at iba pang kaugnay na mga gawain.

Ang pakikipag-ugnayan ng TESDA sa IAs/IBs ay nakapaloob sa RA 7796 (TESDA Law) at ang Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) nito kung saan sinasabi na ang TESDA ay maaring lumikha ng epesyente at epektibong institutional arrangement sa mga industry boards at sa katulad na mga asosasyon para sa nasabing layunin.(END)
